Purpose
Yoga joins. And to join is to heal. The Avita Teacher Training utilizes practical movements, shapes, and sensation to restore joint health and discover peaceful Self.
What to expect
You will learn how to use shapes, not poses, to access restricted joints and tissues. Then you will learn how find healing sensation for your own evolution. Then you will learn how to convey this to your students. This leads to pain reduction, joint remedy, and increased mobility. Ultimately, it leads to deeper intuitive guidance, peace, and joy -- the purpose of yoga and perhaps the purpose of a lifetime.
Style/Lineage
Avita Yoga has its roots in the work of Ida Rolf, who studied yoga to derive the fundamentals of structural integration. Avita has evolved through the practical application of physiological and anatomical principles that utilize time, pressure, and movement to induce change in the fascial network, remodel joints, strengthen bones, and reorganize the nervous system.

Requirements
Program evaluation
- Written exam
- Teaching evaluation
The reason we test is to inspire learning. There are five written quizzes throughout the program. Students practice teaching from the beginning and receive feedback from Jeff throughout the program. The goal is to learn how to conduct private and semi-private sessions, both online via Zoom and in-person. It's very focused because private teaching skills are easily generalized to larger groups.

This program will grant the following AYC CE badge after you verify your credential.

Additional Information
There are no prerequisites. In fact, the less you know about yoga, the more space you will have to welcome this very different method of yoga. For those with a strong yogic background, this training will appear as a radical deconstruction of contemporary yoga. We don't teach poses to get better at them; we teach shapes that provide healing feedback.
