Char’s movement foundation is rooted in dance, corrective exercise, biomechanics, and a yoga practice spanning over twenty years. Her decade-long yoga teaching approach is grounded in alignment-based Vinyasa, influenced by the Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Baptiste lineages, and shaped by the breath-centered teachings of Desikachar. She holds multiple 200-hour certificates in Hot Power Vinyasa/Hatha and Yin Yoga, as well as a 200-hour certification from YogaWorks. Her advanced yoga studies include a 300-hour training through the Down Under School of Yoga with Natasha Rizopoulos and an 85-hour Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training with Om Births. Char also holds certificates in Yoga Nidra and Restorative Yoga, taught by Jillian Pransky and other respected teachers in the field of deep rest.

With additional training in somatic and nervous system education, Char brings a science-informed lens to nervous system support, helping students understand how embodied practice influences regulation, resilience, and sensory integration. A trained meditation teacher in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage under Senior Teacher David Nichtern, having also completed hundreds of hours of study in evidence-based mindfulness and contemplative practices. Char is also a certified Reiki Master Teacher, Sacred Ritualist, and therapeutic Sound Healing Practitioner and trainer with over a decade of experience. She’s facilitated over 2,500 hours of vibrational healing and education. Her signature ‘Acoustic Sound Alchemy’ events and multi-instrument meditations blend sacred sound and somatic presence into immersive, restorative, and transformative journeys.
