Bio
Hi, I’m Liz! My journey with yoga began over 20 years ago, while I was raising my children, drawing on my background in dance. Yoga quickly became my anchor, bringing balance to my mind and body and evolving into a practice of gratitude and joy that I love to share with others. My classes invite you to uplift your spirit, explore poses with curiosity, and enjoy the experience on the mat. In my teaching, I focus on mindful movement, breathwork, and accessible alignment, encouraging students to deepen their awareness of energy and alignment within each pose. Whether you’re new to yoga or expanding your practice, let’s explore yoga together in a welcoming space.
I hold a 500-hour certification from Trive Yoga in Rockville, where I continue to find inspiration and mentorship, as well as certifications in Sound Healing and Reiki Healing. As a Yoga Anatomy specialist and teacher trainer at Thrive, I make complex anatomy accessible by connecting concepts directly to movement on the mat. I enjoy mentoring teacher trainees and studio students alike to deepen their awareness of alignment and energy, providing the expert guidance needed to master the human form.
I am also a lifelong learner, holding both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland. When not reading a yoga book or attending workshops, I swim with the US Masters Swim Club and enjoy life with my husband, two cats, and two adult daughters.
