Bio

Nikki Myers is a soul on purpose. A yoga therapist, Somatic Experiencing practitioner, and addiction recovery specialist, Nikki is the visionary founder of Y12, a nonprofit organization dedicated to healing addiction in all its forms - personal, interpersonal, systemic, and societal. She created Y12SR (Yoga of 12-Step Recovery), the internationally acclaimed program that integrates the cognitive tools of 12-step recovery with the embodied wisdom of yoga, trauma healing, and neuroscience.

What makes Nikki’s work transformative is not only her professional training but her lived experience. She is in long-term recovery from addiction and codependency. She is a survivor of childhood and adult sexual trauma. She’s walked the road through love addiction, commercial sex work, and domestic violence. And she brings it all forward with honesty, heart, and fierce compassion.

An accomplished speaker and educator, Nikki holds an MBA and is a Yoga Therapist with advanced study in Ayurveda and Somatic Experiencing. She’s also a former technology patent-holder and a teacher of teachers, having trained thousands of recovery professionals, yoga teachers, and community leaders across the globe. At the same time, Nikki remains a devoted student—continually learning from ancient wisdom traditions, modern science, and the communities she serves.

Nikki’s work draws from a deep well of insight—rooted in the 12 steps, classical yoga, Vedanta and Tantra, trauma healing, harm reduction, and public health. She bridges timeless teachings with current realities, always honoring the connection between individual healing and collective liberation.

From the front lines of recovery to the roots of disconnection, Nikki’s voice is both visionary and grounded. She speaks to the mind, body, and spirit—reminding us that the issues live in our tissues, and that sustainable healing is possible when we come home to ourselves, each other, and the greater whole.
