A lifelong mover, I began with gymnastics and dance before surviving a 40-foot fall. Despite being told I’d never dance again, I used Pilates and ballet to return to the stage. After studying physical therapy in college, I moved to NYC and became a 3rd generation Pilates instructor under Romana Kryzanowska. In 1999, I earned Thai massage certification in Thailand, later training in GYROTONIC® with Julio Horvath and studying therapeutic massage, friction therapy, and neuromuscular release with Ben Benjamin. I was introduced to Baptiste Yoga during massage school, which led to deeper exploration with teachers like Baron Baptiste, Shiva Rea, Brian Kest, Ana Forrest, and others. Yoga transformed my teaching—uniting the physical and spiritual through breath, awareness, and compassion. In 2014, I opened Brooklyn Yoga Project, a community-rooted studio where all are seen, heard, and celebrated for exactly who they are. I continue to study, evolve, and learn every day—from my students, my children, and the world around me.
