Purpose

This training builds in the 30 hour Philosophy and Theory training. At the end of this training, teachers will be able to skillfully lead pranayama, and apply the Chromatic Yoga Methodology of teaching yoga

Style/Lineage

This training follows Matt Giordano’s L.I.T. methodology, a systematic approach to help students reach their highest potential on and off the mat. It blends Hatha and Vinyasa postures, applied anatomy, pranayama, meditation, mantra, and philosophy into an integrated, modern-day yogi practice. The focus is on the integrated knowledge and the structure to properly embody it.

Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics
  • Integrate a more sophicated understanding of anatomy and biomechanics to the safe design and teaching of a complex chromatic yoga class
Practice Skills
  • Describe how the practice of mindfulness, mantra, pranayama and meditation specifically shifts your emotional, physical and mental state
  • Discuss how your practice has evolved over the program to embody better function greater awareness and is a vehicle for personal growth and self-reflection
Teaching Skills
  • Theme a complex class effectively by following a step-by-step format that supports students mentally and emotionally and infuses empowering teachings without "preaching."
  • Integrate and apply the "chromatic yoga thematic throughline" to align the initial dharma talk, closing talk, and the layering of mental or emotional cues throughout class to create a transformational experience.
  • Deliver an effective dharma talk that integrates philosophical wisdom with the class experience in a way that is relevant, inspiring and meaningful
  • Integrate and apply the "elements of voice" methodology to align your vocal and physical presence with your class intention and support the dynamic quality of the class experience
  • Skillfully guide students step-by-step through pranayama and meditation practices using the chromatic yoga template and integrating effective vocal tone, volume, pacing and appropriate use of silence.
  • Integrate the chromatic methodology for designing and holding a satsang effectively to provide optimal opportunity for group discussion, processing, and growth

  • Discuss how the multi-dimensional study of the yoga sutras has fostered transformational personal reflection and positive self-growth
  • Integrate the skills to mentally, emotionally, and energetically hold space for longer events like weekend immersions, large events, retreats, or longer format trainings

  • Develop a sustainable marketing and career strategy that supports your vision for your teaching career
