Code of Conduct
At Chromatic Yoga, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for learning, growth, and self-discovery. As members of this teacher training community, all participants (Faculty, Trainees, and staff) agree to uphold the following principles during our training:
1. Integrity & Professionalism
Arrive on time, be prepared, and participate fully in all sessions.
Communicate honestly with teachers, peers, and students.
Respect confidentiality and maintain appropriate teacher–student boundaries.
2. Respect & Inclusivity
Treat all individuals with kindness, compassion, and respect—regardless of background, experience, or identity.
Refrain from discriminatory, harmful, or disruptive behavior in all spaces (in-person or online).
Respect the diversity of yoga traditions, lived experiences, and perspectives shared in the training by faculty, staff, and students.
3. Personal Responsibility
Take ownership of your learning journey, including completing all assignments, practice requirements, and self-study.
Practice mindful communication and self-awareness when engaging with others.
Notify faculty if you need support or are unable to meet program requirements.
4. Safety, Consent, & Student-Teacher Relationships
Prioritize physical and emotional safety—your own and others’.
Always seek and respect consent when offering physical adjustments.
Teachers shall not engage in harassment of any kind, abusive words or actions, or exploit students.
Teachers Trainers shall not make comments, gestures, or physical contact of a sexual nature with their students, even if the student invites such conduct.
Barring pre-existing relationships, Teacher Trainers agree not to date their students while in training, in the event an intimate relationship begins between a teacher and a student, the student/teacher relationship should be ended promptly.
Refrain from teaching beyond your scope of knowledge or physical ability.
5. Legal & Financial
Teachers and trainees agree to comply with all legal and business requirements that apply to their business.
Ensure all advertisements relating to the benefits of yoga are accurate, fair, and not misleading.
