Purpose

We transform passionate practitioners into confident, compassionate instructors through comprehensive education in technique, cueing, safety, and real-world teaching experience.

What to expect

The Earth & Aerial Yoga Teacher Training equips you with the essential skills to confidently lead safe and engaging classes for beginner and mixed-level students. You’ll receive comprehensive instruction in technique, cueing, sequencing, class management, and the art of teaching, all grounded in a strong foundation of safety and support.

We break down every aerial yoga pose and transition into manageable steps, guiding you through safe entries and exits, proper alignment, and options for modifications or advancements. You’ll learn how to cue clearly and concisely, observe students, and correct unsafe body positioning.

Once you’ve built a strong foundation, you’ll practice your teaching skills with real beginner students. These supervised sessions help solidify your knowledge and build confidence as you learn to guide and challenge students at every level.

What you can expect from this training:
• Master tools and techniques to confidently sequence and lead aerial yoga classes for all levels
• Learn practical approaches to safety, alignment, and cueing
• Focus on mindful movement and body awareness
• Integrate breath and sensation into your teaching practice
• Solidify your teaching skills through hands-on experience with real students
• Experience personalized learning within a supportive small-group cohort

Style/Lineage

The Earth & Aerial Yoga Teacher Training is rooted in traditional yoga principles, emphasizing mindful movement, body awareness, and breath. At Earth & Aerial Yoga, we blend these foundations with self-discovered poses, ongoing research, and collaborative refinement to create a dynamic aerial yoga program that continues to grow and adapt.

Rather than focusing on performance or aerial tricks, our training prioritizes inner focus and the mind-body connection. You’ll learn to guide students in safely exploring their physical boundaries while keeping them connected to breath, alignment, and sensation. This intentional, embodied approach fosters both strength and mindfulness, helping students leave each session feeling accomplished, empowered, and recharged.

Requirements

Program evaluation
  • Written exam
  • Teaching evaluation

1. WRITTEN QUIZZES: After each training session, students complete an online quiz designed to assess their integration of core concepts. These quizzes emphasize deeper understanding rather than rote memorization, with questions covering sequencing logic, appropriate warm-ups, safe transitions, pose progressions, opportunities for common mistakes, and options for modifications and advancements. 2. SELF-ASSESSMENT: Each trainee is required to complete a structured self-evaluation, based on a recording of their practice teaching. This reflective process helps them build self-awareness and teaching precision. They assess their use of voice, clarity and conciseness of cueing, application of safety and modifications, class pacing, and their ability to observe and respond to students in real time. 3. FINAL EVALUATION: Trainees complete a live teaching practicum with real students, observed by a lead trainer. The evaluation focuses on the overall flow and structure of the class, safety and confidence in instruction, appropriate use of directive verbal cues, ability to manage student needs and offer real-time modifications, and general teaching presence and leadership.
