Purpose
Taoist Yoga & Meditation teachers learn to share a simple practice that has profound effects.
What to expect
For sincere practitioners of Taoist Yoga who want to share the teachings this program will cover the core theories, practices, and lifestyle of Sahm-Je Taoist Yoga & Meditation. Students must log at least 50 classes through Andrew's app, on zoom, or with another certified Taoist Yoga & Meditation teacher. After this they must attend a 3-day in-person retreat, experience a 3-day Taoist "bigu" fast, and submit videos of their teaching. After experiencing the retreat there are 8 post-retreat mentorship sessions over zoom. All content can be done on one's own time accept for the retreat which must be in-person.
Style/Lineage
Yoga and Qi-Gong lineages tend to be obsessed with ancient histories, often re-writing the history books so that their practice is the “one true practice” connected to some ancient enlightened being. While I believe history can and should inform our practice, I’m more interested in helping people find their own path to the Tao. Thus practices must continuously be synthesized and evolved to meet the needs of the present.
We call this lineage Sahm-Je(3-Element) Taoism which is a synthesis of Korean Mountain Taoism and Chinese Philosophical Daoism, designed to aid modern humans in living a long healthy life and to experience an awakening to their true nature.
