Bio

Co-founder of Tune Up Fitness Worldwide and creator of the formats Yoga Tune Up®, The Roll Model® Method and Body By Breath. With more than 30 years of study in anatomy & movement, she is a pioneer in forging relevant links between the worlds of fitness, yoga, massage, athletics, and pain management. Jill is known as the Teacher’s Teacher and has trained thousands of movement educators, clinicians, and manual therapists to incorporate her paradigm-shifting self-care fitness programming into athletic and medical facilities. As the creator of some of the world’s best mobility tools, she has crafted original programs for Equinox, Golf Digest, 24 Hour Fitness, YogaWorks, and professional sports teams. Her programs help you to live better in your body with an emphasis on proprioception, mobility, breath mechanics, and recovery.

Jill has presented at conferences and symposia worldwide in the fields of yoga therapy, fitness, fascia, pain, athletic performance, and mental health. She has the rare ability to translate complex physiological and biomechanical information into accessible, relevant moves that help students transform pain, dysfunction, and injury into robust fitness. Jill is a former anatomy columnist for Yoga Journal and has been featured in The NYTimes, Wall Street Journal, Prevention, Shape, Men’s Journal, Women’s Health, Yoga Journal, Self, on TODAY Show, Good Morning America & the Oprah Winfrey Network. Her video collaborations with Tom Myers, Katy Bowman, Kelly Starrett DPT & Jen Esquer DPT have been embraced worldwide. She is the author of the internationally bestselling book The Roll Model: A Step by Step Guide to Erase Pain, Improve Mobility, and Live Better in Your Body and Body by Breath: The Science and Practice of Physical and Emotional Resilience Jill is also a contributing author on the topic of self-myofascial release in the textbook Fascia, Function and Medical Applications as well as Safe and Sound by Dr. Stephen Porges.
