Who this is for

Yoga lovers who feel called to sincere study, deepening their own practice, and have a desire to hold space for others through the many ways that yoga can be a way of life in our communities. This training takes place at COLUMBIA GYM, and serves the Washington DC/Baltimore Metro Area

What to expect

  • Deep dive into mindful communication with self, cohort, and future students
  • Introduction to yoga philosophy through Patanjali's 8 Limbs of Yoga
  • Spiritual context of Yoga through Bhagavad Gita and self inquiry
  • Comprehensive education about foundational Yoga postures including anatomy and contraindications
  • Vinyasa and Restorative Yoga sequencing and delivery
  • Introduction to meditation practice, development and delivery
  • Subtle body education with a focus on the importance of sound and vibration

This training meets over the course of 9 weekends starting Jan 16 - May 17 (all details on the website) Friday 4 - 8pm on Live on ZOOM Saturday 9 - 7pm In Person Sunday 9 - 5pm In Person The cost of books is not included in the price of tuition.

I am the founder of SONDER ℠ a yoga studio and school where belonging and self responsibility are at the heart of our culture. C-IAYT candidate through The Mindfulness Center.

My yoga bio is a walkabout story of owning up, complete surrender, and falling in step with the guides who miraculously lit my path. I first read the book Siddhartha, by Herman Hesse, because it was required reading in my 8th grade English class way back in 1988. The novel opened a curiosity in me that in many ways still presses me forward. But back then I didn’t have the awareness to recognize where the compass was pointing me. I chose to study and work in art, then cooking, then fitness and wellness. I married a diplomat and moved around Europe raising our 3 kids.
